The Kings will be without center Drew Eubanks for a while.
Eubanks has been diagnosed with a torn UCL in his left thumb and will undergo surgery to repair it, the team announced. The update was first noted by James Ham of Locked On Kings.
The injury occurred during Wednesday’s loss to the Hornets. Eubanks logged just under 15 minutes in that game, finishing with four points, six rebounds and two assists.
His procedure is scheduled for March 18.
Eubanks has appeared in 42 games for Sacramento this season, including 11 starts. The veteran big man is averaging 5.2 points, 3.0 rebounds and 0.6 blocks in 13.1 minutes per night.
No official timetable for a return has been announced.
