It seems as if the Knicks are headed back to Nowheresville this season, but there’s still time to fix that. The Knicks haven’t been bad, but rather, just OK.
Their 6-6 record seems to be exactly who they are. So will they finally make a move?
Well, it appears they could think about it, as opposing teams have reached out to gauge New York’s feelings on potentially trading Immanuel Quickley, per Ian Begley of SNY.tv.
Begley summed up the Knicks’ possible feelings on trading Quickley.
“It’s logical to assume that the Knicks would be hesitant to move Quickley, a strong combo guard drafted by the club in 2020,” he wrote. “But teams look at the Knicks roster and see a surplus of young players/potential rotation players. There aren’t enough minutes for everyone. So some teams feel that the Knicks will consider trading off at least one of the young players on their roster as the deadline approaches.”
It seems more likely that the Knicks would move either forward Obi Toppin or Cam Reddish (or both) before they would Quickley. But apparently, some rival teams want to find out.
