The Knicks have signed forward Garrison Brooks to a contract ahead of training camp, the team announced in a press release.
While details were not revealed, it’s believed to be an Exhibit 10 deal.
Brooks, 23, is 6-foot-9 and went undrafted out of Mississippi State. He spent his first four college seasons at North Carolina. It appears this signing was made to secure Brooks’ G League rights, giving a spot with the Westchester Knicks of the G League.
Exhibit 10 contracts count toward a team’s offseason roster limit of 20, but not toward the regular roster unless the player receives a standard deal.
