Kyrie Irving Returning to Mavs on Three-Year Contract

Star guard Kyrie Irving left little to the imagination in free agency. Instead, he’s going to try to finish what he and the Mavericks tried to start at the February trade deadline.Kyrie Irving

Per Shams Charania of The Athletic, Irving is returning to Dallas on a three-year, $126 million contract. The deal includes a player option in the third year, Charania added.

The move truly is no surprise, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported that Irving was expected to return to the Mavs all along.

Along with that, Marc Stein of The Stein Line cited two sources close to the process that said “Irving has consistently expressed a desire to remain a Maverick and actually wants to shut down the notion that he’s angling to get to L.A.”
