Lakers Guard Austin Reaves Out At Least Two Weeks

Lakers rookie shooting guard Austin Reaves will miss at least two weeks with a strained left hamstring, according to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.Austin Reaves

Reaves’ injury becomes the latest obstacle for a Lakers’ team that has struggled to find its way and is already missing LeBron James (abdomen), Talen Horton-Tucker (thumb) and Kendrick Nunn (knee).

That said, the Lakers have won two in a row, both at home, both in overtime.

Reaves was considered day-to-day after missing Wednesday’s game against the Heat with what coach Frank Vogel described as a “mild” hamstring injury. But it appears the injury is a bit more significant than that.

Reaves, 23, is 6-foot-5 and is averaging 6.1 points and 2.0 rebounds in 10 appearances. He went undrafted out of Oklahoma, then signed a two-way deal with LA over the summer.

There have no firm updates on a return to game action for any of the Lakers’ other injured players.
