Lakers’ LeBron James Likely To Miss Several More Games

Lakers star LeBron James is expected to miss several more games with left knee irritation, as relayed by Shams Charania of The Athletic.LeBron James

James has missed the previous three games, all losses. The Lakers (24-27) entered Wednesday out of the playoff picture, though they would qualify for the play-in game if the postseason began today.

“As long as the swelling is there, he is going to be out,” Lakers coach Frank Vogel told reporters Sunday.

James underwent an MRI, which revealed only the swelling, Vogel said.

Legendary Bulls star Michael Jordan began to miss games late in his career with constant swelling in his knee, an issue that occurred while Jordan came back to play for the Wizards.

James, 37, is averaging 29.1 points, 7.7 rebounds and 6.3 assists in 36 games. The Lakers are scheduled to host the Trail Blazers on Wednesday, following a 2-4 swing through the Eastern Conference.

James was went back to LA before the final game of the trip for further evaluation. For more on the Lakers, check out what Anthony Davis had to say about the state of things right here.
