The Lakers already know they have work to do this offseason.
Apparently, Luka Doncic has a pretty good idea of where he’d start.

Speaking during a recent interview with Drafteados, Doncic was asked what he believes the Lakers need to add around him moving forward.
His answer was straightforward.
“I think mainly shooters and a big man who can run the pick-and-roll and jump so I can pass to him,” Doncic said. “If I have shooters, they won’t double me as much, and it helps me out.”
Doncic has built an entire career around creating open looks for teammates and finding athletic big men near the basket. It was a formula that worked in Dallas and one that helped make him one of the NBA’s most dangerous offensive players.
The Lakers certainly have some decisions to make.
Austin Reaves is expected to enter free agency, while LeBron James and Rui Hachimura are already there.
Meanwhile, center Deandre Ayton’s future remains uncertain as Los Angeles looks for ways to improve a roster that won 53 games but was swept by the Thunder in the second round after Doncic missed the postseason with a hamstring injury.
Today, Doncic appears focused on recovery and preparing for next season.
Still, if anyone was wondering what type of players he’d like alongside him, he just provided a pretty clear answer.
