The Suns and shooting guard Landry Shamet have reached agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $43 million, agent George Langberg told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
Shamet, 24, is 6-foot-4 and was traded to the Suns by the Nets on Aug. 6. He appeared in 61 games and averaged 9.3 points last season with Brooklyn.
As Wojnarowski noted, he becomes the second player to reach a rookie-scale deal with the Suns, joining Mikal Bridges, who did the same over the weekend.
The Suns, however, failed to reach a contract extension with center Deandre Ayton, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft.
