Video: LeBron James Gives Props To Cavs; What We Make Of It

LeBron James made it clear he thinks highly of this year’s Cavaliers and the entire world went crazy. Or something like that.LeBron James, Lakers, Evan Mobley,. Cavaliers, Cavs, NBA

In case you didn’t know, James went on the podcast from brothers Jason Kelce and Travis Kelce — the NFL stars who hail from Cleveland — and paid his respects to the Cavs. He even called them “we.”

“The Cavs look amazing right now,” James said. “They got another opportunity. I hope they keep it going. They got an opportunity to do something special, so I’m glad I was able to put on first, set the trend and hopefully we keep it going.”

James led the Cavs to their lone championship in 2016. He discussed that as well — calling it the best of his four championships (two in Miami, another with the LA Lakers).

“There’s nothing better for me than that Cleveland one just because of everything,” he said. “The 50-plus years of no championship for Northeast Ohio, the seven years I was there beforehand, and it took me to leave — and to come back to it — to understand or appreciate it even more, being down 3-1 … and winning that series for the city of Cleveland, for Northeast Ohio. That’s why you saw the emotion.”

James, now with the Lakers, was swept by the Cavs during their two-game season series this year. So he knows about their 34-5 record firsthand. He’s seen it, he’s experienced it. This year’s team is like no other in Cavs history.

So what did I make of LeBron’s comments? Well, I discussed it on the set of Full Court Cleveland, which also features Booby Gibson (LeBron’s ex-teammate) and play-by-play man Rafa Hernandez-Brito.

You can check out my thoughts on what LeBron had to say on Instagram right here or in the post directly below.
