The Lakers may have to plan ahead without Luka Doncic.
According to Shams Charania of ESPN, Doncic could miss a potential second-round series against the Thunder if the Lakers advance.
Doncic is recovering from a Grade 2 left hamstring strain suffered April 2 against Oklahoma City. He recently traveled to Spain for treatment, including injections, in an effort to speed up the healing process.

There’s no firm timetable. But what is clear is his importance.
Doncic led the NBA in total points and scoring average in his first full season with the Lakers, posting 33.5 points, 7.7 rebounds and 8.3 assists per game. He shot 47.6 percent from the field and 36.6 percent from three.
The Lakers went 43-21 when he played. They are currently up 3-1 on the Rockets in the first round. If they close out the series, the Thunder would be next.
Whether Doncic is available for that matchup remains uncertain. That’s the part the Lakers are still waiting on.
