Free agent guard Matt Mooney has signed with Turkish club Darussafaka Basketbol, per Alberto De Roa of HoopsHype.
Mooney, 25, is 6-foot-2 and has played five NBA games, including four with the Cavaliers during the 2019-20 season. He appeared in one game for the Knicks last season.
He originally signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Grizzlies in September 2019, before being waived a month later. He then signed a two-way contract with the Cavs in January 2020, lasting all the way until December before the Cavs waived him.
The Knicks signed him to two consecutive 10-day contracts in December 2021.
Mooney, who played college basketball at Air Force, South Dakota and Texas Tech, averaged 15.2 points with the G League’s Mexico City Capitanes last season.
