The Mavericks have officially signed guard Facundo Campazzo, the team announced in a press release.
The deal is reportedly for one year, likely for the veteran’s minimum.
Campazzo, 31, is 5-foot-10 and has spent the past two seasons with the Nuggets, appearing in 65 games in each. Last season, he averaged 5.2 points and 3.4 assists, though shot just 36 percent from the field. His entire pro career before that has been spent in Argentina or Spain.
He once was a teammate of Mavs star guard/forward Luka Doncic, when the two were with Real Madrid early in Doncic’s career.
Campazzo will wear No. 2 with Dallas.
