Myles Turner sounds off on Bucks culture, accountability

Things are getting a little uncomfortable in Milwaukee.

The Bucks have not been the same since their 2021 title run, and now questions are being raised about what is happening behind the scenes. That includes comments from Myles Turner, who recently described a loose culture during his time with the team.

“Guys were late all the time… guys were missing meetings,” Turner said on his podcast. “It was one of the craziest things I’ve ever experienced.”

Turner pointed to a lack of accountability, even suggesting that star players, including Giannis Antetokounmpo, operated with a different level of freedom.

“Giannis is going to show up whenever he wants,” Turner said. “I think it just came with the territory.”

Those comments did not go unnoticed.

Antetokounmpo responded on social media, pushing back and telling others to mind their business. It only added another layer to an already tense situation.

The bigger picture is hard to ignore.

Milwaukee’s core has changed. Khris Middleton and Jrue Holiday are gone. The results have slipped. Now there is real speculation about whether Giannis could be on the move this offseason.

If that happens, it resets everything.

If it does not, new coach Taylor Jenkins will be tasked with restoring structure and accountability.

Either way, the Bucks have reached a turning point.
