The 2025 NBA All-Star Game rosters were revealed Thursday during a pre-game TNT show, where coaches Charles Barkley, Shaquille O’Neal, and Kenny Smith drafted players for the new mini-tournament format. The players were previously split into starters and reserves, but those groups had no bearing on team selections.
Below are the teams, sorted by their draft picks:
Team Shaq
- LeBron James, Lakers
- Stephen Curry, Warriors
- Anthony Davis, Mavericks
- Jayson Tatum, Celtics
- Kevin Durant, Suns
- Damian Lillard, Bucks
- James Harden, Clippers
- Jaylen Brown, Celtics
O’Neal, who had the first overall pick, selected James, who holds the record for most All-Star appearances. His roster is dominated by seasoned players, totaling 87 All-Star appearances. O’Neal’s squad includes former teammates, including Curry and Durant, as well as James and Davis, who will play together for the first time since the blockbuster trade that brought Luka Doncic to the Lakers.
Team Kenny
- Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves
- Jalen Brunson, Knicks
- Jaren Jackson Jr., Grizzlies
- Jalen Williams, Thunder
- Darius Garland, Cavaliers
- Evan Mobley, Cavaliers
- Cade Cunningham, Pistons
- Tyler Herro, Heat
Smith opted for a younger group, with only 13 combined All-Star selections. Notably, this group features four first-time All-Stars: Williams, Mobley, Cunningham, and Herro. Smith also paired up Cavaliers teammates Garland and Mobley.
Team Chuck
- Nikola Jokic, Nuggets
- Giannis Antetokounmpo, Bucks
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Thunder
- Victor Wembanyama, Spurs
- Pascal Siakam, Pacers
- Alperen Sengun, Rockets
- Karl-Anthony Towns, Knicks
- Donovan Mitchell, Cavaliers
Barkley assembled a mix of experience and emerging talent. His team features the top three MVP candidates this season: Jokic, Antetokounmpo, and Gilgeous-Alexander. Notably, Barkley selected Wembanyama as the 12th pick. His squad boasts 35 All-Star appearances, with Sengun and Wembanyama making their All-Star debuts.
A fourth team, coached by Candace Parker, will participate in the tournament. This team will be composed of players from the Rising Stars Challenge, with the winners of two semifinal games advancing to the final.
The All-Star Game’s prize pool amounts to $1.8 million. Each player on the winning team will receive $125,000, while second-place finishers will earn $50,000. Players finishing in third and fourth will receive $25,000 each.
