Bucks
The Bucks continue to be connected to a pair of young forwards as they reshape their roster following the Giannis Antetokounmpo trade.
According to Jake Fischer, Milwaukee has interest in Jonathan Kuminga, while Marc Stein has reported the Bucks are also exploring the possibility of acquiring Nuggets restricted free agent Peyton Watson in a sign-and-trade.
Tre Allen of Bucks on SI noted that either move would likely require a sign-and-trade because of Milwaukee’s salary-cap situation.
Watson is widely expected to command a significant raise after his breakout season in Denver, though the Nuggets have repeatedly expressed confidence they can retain the 23-year-old forward.
Kuminga, meanwhile, remains one of the more intriguing names on the market after Atlanta declined his team option.
Thunder
The Thunder may not need to look outside the organization to replace some of Isaiah Joe‘s shooting.
Ivan White of Thunder on SI suggested Cason Wallace could be poised for a larger offensive role after shooting 48.4 percent from three-point range during Oklahoma City’s playoff run.
Wallace has primarily built his reputation as a perimeter defender, but with Joe now in Detroit, the Thunder could ask the former lottery pick to shoulder more of the outside shooting load entering next season.
Kings
Kings rookie Darius Acuff Jr. gave Sacramento plenty of reasons for optimism during Summer League.
As Will Zimmerle of Kings on SI noted, the No. 7 overall pick averaged 20.8 points while displaying the shot creation and scoring ability that made him one of the top prospects in this year’s draft.
Acuff’s shooting efficiency and defensive consistency remain areas for improvement, but Sacramento believes the rookie has the tools to develop into a cornerstone as the franchise continues its rebuild.
