Brad Daugherty Joins NBA On NBC Broadcast Team, Will Remain Familiar Voice For Cavs Fans

Brad Daugherty is returning to the national NBA spotlight, and Cavaliers fans have even more reason to pay attention.

The former Cavaliers All-Star and franchise legend has been named to the NBA on NBC broadcast team ahead of the network’s return to league coverage for the 2025 season. Daugherty will serve as a game analyst, bringing his polished voice and deep basketball insight to a national audience.

Daugherty is expected to remain part of the FanDuel Sports Network’s regional coverage of the Cavaliers, where he has been a consistent and trusted presence in recent years.

A five-time All-Star and member of the All-NBA Third Team in 1992, Daugherty was selected No. 1 overall by the Cavaliers in the 1986 NBA Draft. He spent his entire pro career in Cleveland, anchoring one of the most respected eras in franchise history alongside Mark Price, Larry Nance, John “Hot Rod” Williams, Craig Ehlo, and head coach Lenny Wilkens.

His career was cut short by a back injury in 1994, but his legacy in Cleveland remains firmly intact. The Cavaliers retired his No. 43 jersey, which now hangs in the rafters at Rocket Arena.
