NBA Moves: Blazers, Jaylen Martin, Clippers, Kings

The Trail Blazers waived guard Jaylen Martin on Wednesday, with a return to the Rip City Remix expected, according to Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors.

Martin finished last season with Portland’s G League affiliate. His Exhibit 10 agreement includes a $45,000 bonus. The move leaves the Blazers with 18 players, including three on two-way contracts.

Elsewhere around the NBA:

  • Clippers: Los Angeles signed wing Jahmyl Telfort to an Exhibit 10 contract, filling its 21-man preseason roster. Telfort followed a similar path last year, eventually earning a two-way deal before being waived in December. He appeared in eight NBA games and averaged 14.0 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.7 assists in 47 G League outings with San Diego. Adams notes that a return to San Diego appears likely. Telfort could earn an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $91,000 if he spends at least 60 days with the affiliate.
  • Kings: Sacramento waived Trhae Mitchell shortly after signing him, per NBA.com’s transaction log. The move positions Mitchell to collect a $21,000 bonus if he spends at least 60 days with the Stockton Kings this season, Adams reports. Stockton acquired his G League returning rights from the Laketown Squadron earlier this week.
