Officials

Veteran NBA referee Bill Kennedy, known leaguewide for his animated and often entertaining replay explanations, exited Friday’s game between the 76ers and Magic after suffering an apparent right leg injury.

According to the Associated Press, Kennedy began limping while running the floor during a Sixers fast break in the first quarter. He was seen hopping near the baseline moments later, then signaled for help as Orlando called a timeout.

Kennedy left the court in a wheelchair and did not return. Officials James Williams and Michael Smith worked the remainder of the game.

International

Former NBA guard Monte Morris will miss three to four weeks after suffering a left leg injury in a EuroLeague game, per Eurohoops.

Morris recently signed with Olympiacos after being waived by the Pacers in late November. He appeared in six games with Indiana this season, averaging 10.8 minutes per contest.

NBA Draft

BYU wing AJ Dybantsa sits atop Sam Vecenie’s latest draft board for The Athletic. Kansas guard Darryn Peterson and Duke forward Cameron Boozer round out the top three. Kentucky big man Jayden Quaintance climbed to No. 6, largely due to his defensive upside.

All-Star Voting

Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo continue to lead their respective conferences in fan voting for the All-Star Game, according to NBA Communications.

Also ranking in the West’s top five are Nikola Jokic, Stephen Curry, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, and Victor Wembanyama. In the East, Jalen Brunson, Tyrese Maxey, Cade Cunningham, and Donovan Mitchell trail Antetokounmpo.

Fan voting accounts for 50 percent of the selection process and runs through Wednesday.
