Warriors

The Warriors are keeping guard Brandin Podziemski around for the long haul.

Golden State officially picked up the fourth-year option on his rookie deal, locking in $5.68 million for the 2026–27 season.

The move was expected ahead of Friday’s deadline and ensures the 22-year-old guard remains under team control through 2027.

Podziemski has become a steady rotation piece since being drafted 19th overall in 2023. He averaged 11.7 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 3.4 assists last season and is off to a solid start this year, scoring 12.2 per game on 42.3% shooting from three through five games.

He’s the only Warrior with a rookie-scale option this cycle, though the team will revisit contract decisions next summer for Draymond Green, Al Horford, De’Anthony Melton, Jonathan Kuminga, and Trayce Jackson-Davis.

Knicks

New York could get some help in the middle soon.

Center Mitchell Robinson went through a full practice Thursday and will be a game-time call Friday in Chicago, per The New York Post’s Stefan Bondy.

Robinson has missed the first four games of the season with left ankle injury maintenance. The team insists it’s precautionary, not a new setback.

He missed most of last season’s first half recovering from ankle surgery but returned in late February and was a major factor in the Knicks’ playoff run.

Jazz

Utah is locking in its young core.

The Jazz exercised their 2026–27 rookie options on five players: Taylor Hendricks, Keyonte George, Cody Williams, Brice Sensabaugh, and Isaiah Collier.

George has been the early standout, averaging 22.3 points and 9.3 assists through four games. Hendricks, healthy again after a serious leg injury last year, is working back into the rotation.

According to The Salt Lake Tribune’s Andy Larsen, there was minor debate about picking up Cody Williams’ option after an uneven rookie year, but the Jazz decided to keep faith in the 10th overall pick.
