Warriors
The Warriors’ first meeting with the Hawks since their trade two months ago did not feature much from the players involved, as none made a major impact in Atlanta’s 126-110 win.
Jonathan Kuminga struggled in limited action, Buddy Hield saw time mostly in garbage minutes, and Kristaps Porzingis did not play. Instead, Dyson Daniels led the way for Atlanta with 28 points.
Golden State controlled much of the first half but fell apart coming out of the break. A sloppy start to the third quarter quickly turned a close game into a double-digit deficit, and the Hawks never looked back.
The loss dropped the Warriors to 33-38. They have now lost 10 of 12 and sit five games under .500 for the first time in two seasons.
Celtics
The Celtics are taking a measured approach with Jayson Tatum as he works his way back into form, writes Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe.
Teammate Jaylen Brown has been among those helping ease that process.
“Sometimes things are not going your way or you miss some shots early, you need an easy one,” Brown said. “I’ve been there.”
Boston has leaned on its depth while allowing Tatum to find his rhythm naturally.
Nets
With the postseason out of reach, the focus in Brooklyn has shifted toward the future.
As Brian Lewis of the New York Post details, Nets fans are keeping close tabs on top draft prospects during the NCAA Tournament, including AJ Dybantsa, Cameron Boozer and Darryn Peterson.
Dybantsa made a strong impression with 35 points in his lone tournament appearance, drawing praise from several observers.
“He’s going to be special,” Jamal Mashburn said.
