Pistons
The Pistons still have work to do with restricted free agent center Jalen Duren.
According to Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints, Detroit and Duren remain far apart in contract talks, with the 22-year-old reportedly seeking a maximum-salary deal.
The Pistons, however, have not come close to that type of commitment and are not expected to entertain sign-and-trade scenarios, as the organization still wants to retain him.
Siegel added that the Lakers, despite previous interest, aren’t expected to pursue Duren this summer.
Meanwhile, Los Angeles is said to have interest in Hornets big man Naz Reid, though Charlotte has given no indication it plans to move him after acquiring him in the LaMelo Ball trade. Siegel also reported the Hornets remain “very open” to trading veteran forward Miles Bridges.
Clippers
The Clippers aren’t looking to move Kawhi Leonard.
League sources told Siegel that while LA will listen to inquiries regarding the seven-time All-Star, the organization has never indicated it wants to trade him.
According to Siegel, the Warriors, Timberwolves and Pistons have all held discussions with the Clippers about Leonard dating back to before the February trade deadline, though none of those talks gained traction.
Bulls
The Bulls have exercised their $2.4 million team option on forward Leonard Miller, according to Spotrac’s Keith Smith.
Miller averaged 11.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in 27 games after arriving from Minnesota in the Ayo Dosunmu trade, convincing Chicago to guarantee his contract for next season.
The Bulls also exercised their option on Mouhamadou Gueye before including him in the Nic Claxton trade with the Timberwolves.
Looking ahead, Chicago is among the teams expected to have interest in free-agent forward John Collins, according to Siegel. The Spurs are also considered a potential suitor, with the Sixers another team to watch.
