Spurs
- Center Jakob Poeltl is drawing more trade interest than anyone else on the Spurs at the moment, per LJ Ellis of SpursTalk.
- The Spurs would like two lightly protected first-round picks in any deal involving Poeltl, Ellis added.
- Among the teams showing an interest in Poeltl — the Raptors and Warriors, Ellis wrote. Of any of the Warriors who may be available, Ellis identified guard Moses Moody as the player who the Spurs would want most.
- Meanwhile, the Raptors have yet to offer the Spurs more than one moderately protected first-rounder, per Ellis.
Knicks
- In case you missed it, the Knicks are working with representatives of forward Cam Reddish to locate a trade. We have that full post here.
- The market for Reddish doesn’t appear to be exactly thriving, however, according to Fred Katz of The Athletic. Falling out of the rotation will do that to a player’s trade value.
- As we also relayed, point guard Derrick Rose is among the players the Knicks are reportedly making available. Though they are finding there isn’t a big demand for Rose, given his limited production this season, per Katz.
- The Knicks are not interested in attaching draft capital to guard Evan Fournier just to move him, per Katz.
Wizards
- Multiple teams have reached out to the Wizards expressing trade interest in Kyle Kuzma, as we relayed here. The Suns and Hawks are reportedly among them.
- That said, it doesn’t appear as if GM Tommy Sheppard is ready to make a deal. “We’ve had great respect for Kyle since he’s been in the league,” Sheppard said. “…We’re really excited for his future growth here.”
- Kuzma told The Athletic’s Shams Charania that things are going smoother in the locker room this season. “If you look at our team last year, we were so up and down, because we didn’t like each other,” Kuzma said. “This year, yeah, we’re still working through some things, but we have a genuine group, an authentic group. We actually like each other.”
- Will the Wizards ever do more than just spin their wheels? We wrote about that a few days ago, right here.
