NBA Rumors: Thunder, Chet Holmgren, Grizzlies, Hornets, draft

Thunder

If anyone thought the Thunder might be willing to move Chet Holmgren after his rough finish in the Western Conference finals, think again.

According to Zach Lowe of The Ringer, Oklahoma City has been making it known around the league that Holmgren is not available in trade talks.

Meanwhile, Oklahoma City could still be one of the busiest teams at the draft.

Per ESPN’s Jeremy Woo, the Thunder’s No. 17 overall pick is considered one of the selections most likely to be moved, with rival teams expecting Sam Presti to be active once again.

Grizzlies

Speaking of draft-night movement, don’t be surprised if the Grizzlies try to climb the board.

Per Woo, rival executives believe Memphis could look to package the No. 16 overall pick in an effort to acquire a second lottery selection.

The Grizzlies have never been shy about moving around the draft.

Just last year, they jumped from No. 16 to No. 11 to select Cedric Coward. They also possess a healthy collection of future draft assets that could be used to sweeten a deal.

Hornets

The Hornets continue to search for frontcourt help, and they may be willing to use one of their first-round picks to get it.

Charlotte owns the No. 14 and No. 18 selections and, according to Woo, teams around the league believe one of those picks could be available for the right player.

The Hornets have reportedly explored possibilities involving Kings center Domantas Sabonis. However, ESPN reported Charlotte has been hesitant to part with either first-rounder in a potential deal.
