NBA Summer League schedule released: What to know

The NBA has unveiled its 2026 Summer League schedule, and the league isn’t wasting any time putting its newest stars on center stage.

The biggest attraction comes on opening day in Las Vegas, when No. 1 overall pick AJ Dybantsa and the Wizards are expected to face No. 2 pick Darryn Peterson and the Jazz on July 9.

Another marquee rookie matchup follows a day later, with No. 3 overall pick Cameron Boozer and the Grizzlies taking on No. 4 pick Caleb Wilson and the Bulls.

The league also highlighted the July 10 meeting between the Heat and Bucks, which will come just four days after Miami’s blockbuster acquisition of Giannis Antetokounmpo is scheduled to become official.

While Peterson is expected to debut earlier in the Salt Lake City Summer League, which begins July 4, the showdown with Dybantsa is expected to be one of the featured attractions in Las Vegas.

Each NBA team is guaranteed at least five Summer League games. The preliminary schedule runs through July 16 before the semifinals on July 18 and the championship game on July 19.

All 76 games will be played at the Thomas & Mack Center and Cox Pavilion in Las Vegas and televised on ESPN platforms or Prime Video.

Among other notable openers, the Cavaliers are scheduled to face the Pacers on July 10. Cleveland’s Summer League roster has not yet been announced, though second-round pick Meleek Thomas, Tyrese Proctor and several of the club’s young players are expected to participate.

The NBA also scheduled both matchups featuring the top four picks for primetime television, underscoring the anticipation surrounding this year’s rookie class.
