Suns
The Suns may be getting some help soon.
According to John Gambadoro of Arizona Sports 98.7, the expectation is Dillon Brooks could return early on the upcoming road trip, with Mark Williams potentially back later in the week.
That trip starts in Memphis and wraps in Chicago.
Brooks is about four weeks removed from surgery to repair a fractured left hand, putting him right in line with the original four-to-six week timeline. Williams has been out since March 3 with a stress reaction in his left foot and is headed toward restricted free agency this summer.
Getting either one back would help. Getting both would be better.
76ers
There’s still no official return date, but Joel Embiid continues to move in the right direction.
The 76ers star went through shootaround Monday and followed it up with individual work, per Derek Bodner of PHLY Sports. A more intense workout is expected Tuesday, with a reevaluation to follow.
This marked Embiid’s 13th straight missed game as he deals with a right oblique strain.
Knicks
The Knicks will be without Landry Shamet again Tuesday, but it doesn’t sound long-term.
Shamet is dealing with a tibial plateau contusion in his right knee, suffered Friday in Brooklyn. He also missed Sunday’s win over Washington.
The good news is it’s not considered serious.
Per the New York Post’s Stefan Bondy, there’s an expectation Shamet could return within a few games, if not sooner. That would be a welcome development for a Knicks team that has relied on him as a steady reserve.
