The speculation surrounding Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks isn’t slowing down as the NBA Draft draws closer.
In fact, ESPN’s Ben Golliver and Zach Kram recently floated a blockbuster trade proposal that would send the two-time MVP to the Heat in exchange for a package built around young talent, draft picks and former All-Star guard Tyler Herro.

Under the proposal, Miami would receive Antetokounmpo, while Milwaukee would land Herro, Kel’el Ware, Nikola Jovic, the No. 13 overall pick in this month’s draft, and first-round selections in 2029 and 2031.
Kram wrote that the framework could make sense for both sides. After all, it’s what has been making the rounds.
“Milwaukee gains a heap of young talent, including three first-round picks and a 22-year-old center in Ware, and Miami raises its ceiling considerably following four consecutive seasons in the play-in tournament,” Kram wrote.
The proposal comes amid ongoing questions about Antetokounmpo’s long-term future in Milwaukee. Bucks co-owner Jimmy Haslam said last month he hoped the situation would be resolved before the June 23 NBA Draft.
One advantage Miami holds over some potential competitors is ownership of the No. 13 overall pick, giving the Bucks an immediate lottery asset as part of any potential package.
Of course, whether the Bucks would view the offer as enough remains unclear.
ESPN’s Bobby Marks noted that Milwaukee would receive a former All-Star in Herro, a promising young center in Ware and multiple future draft assets. He also raised several questions that the Bucks would need to answer if such a trade were completed.
Among them: Should Miami include forward Jaime Jaquez Jr.? Is Herro part of Milwaukee’s future plans or a candidate to be flipped elsewhere? And what would the addition of Ware mean for the future of center Myles Turner?
Marks also pointed out that because of restrictions related to Jovic’s rookie extension, the trade could not become official until July 6.
No matter how you spin it, with the draft less than two weeks away, trade scenarios involving one of the league’s biggest stars continue to dominate offseason conversation.
