The Nuggets are among the multiple teams interested in trading for Spurs shooting guard Bryn Forbes, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Forbes, 28, is 6-foot-2 and averaging 9.1 points through the first 40 games. The Nuggets are looking to add some shooting around reigning MVP Nikola Jokic, and Forbes undoubtedly fits such a description.
And the Spurs have reason to move on from Forbes if they can find the right deal.
“With San Antonio currently outside the play-in Tournament, moving Forbes would open up more backcourt minutes for first-round pick Joshua Primo,” Scotto wrote.
Forbes is in the final season and is earning $4.5 million this season — so it’s clearly a movable deal.
“Denver is hoping to get Jamal Murray and Michael Porter Jr. back before the end of the season but could use some shot-making until then,” RealGM noted.
“San Antonio rarely makes in-season deals but has Forbes and veteran big man Thaddeus Young available leading up to the trade deadline.”
