Nuggets center and reigning back-to-back NBA MVP Nikola Jokic has entered the league’s health and safety protocols, as relayed by Shams Charania of The Athletic/Stadium.
Jokic, 27, is 6-foot-11 and will miss at least Wednesday’s home game against the Knicks.
He is picking up where he left off last season, averaging 20.8 points, 9.5 rebounds and 8.9 assists, often starting the offense in the halfcourt sets and shooting a career-high 61 percent from the field.
The Nuggets (9-4) enter Tuesday night’s game tied for first in the Western Conference and are 4-0 at home.
