Pacers guard Malcolm Brogdon will miss at least the next two games after being diagnosed with a concussion, as relayed by James Boyd of the Indianapolis Star.
Brogdon suffered the injury after taking an unintentional elbow from Cavaliers rookie Evan Mobley during the Pacers’ 127-124 loss on Tuesday. (Related Dribbles.)
The Pacers (22-45) are more of less playing out the stretch, trailing the Hawks by 10 games for the final playoff spot, with just 15 games to go. So winning every last one may not be enough for Indiana. They visit the Spurs on Saturday and the Hawks on Sunday.
Brogdon, 29, is 6-foot-5 and is one of the NBA’s steadiest and most underrated guards. He is averaging 19.1 points, 6.0 assists and 5.3 rebounds in 34 games.
Rick Carlisle said Malcolm Brogdon caught an elbow from Evan Mobley last game in the fourth quarter. #Pacers https://t.co/rZj5oxmyZp
