Pacers Seeking Two First-Round Draft Picks For Caris LeVert

The Pacers have made guard/forward Caris LeVert available in trade talks, but he won’t come cheap.Caris LeVert

Per Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Indiana is seeking at least two first-round draft picks as part of the return in a LeVert deal.

The Cavaliers are among the teams said to have a particularly strong interest in LeVert, along with the Mavericks. He has also been linked to the Spurs, 76ers and several others.

It is believed Cleveland is starting all trade talks by dangling the expiring contract of injured guard Ricky Rubio and draft assets.

The Cavs are determined not to shake up their current core, sources told Hoops Wire, but may be willing to part with their 2022 first-rounder.

LeVert, 27, is 6-foot-6 and is capable of playing everywhere from point guard to small forward. He is viewed as someone who could fit seamlessly with the Cavs and help take some of the scoring burden off Darius Garland in the backcourt.

LeVert is averaging 18.2 points, 4.2 assists and 3.7 rebounds in 34 games. He has one season remaining on a three-year, $52.5 million extension he signed with the Nets in 2019.

I talked more about him on the latest Cavs on the Break podcast right here, as well as my latest weekly spot on Sports 4 CLE/Cleveland.com right here.

The Pacers are also making power forward Domantas Sabonis and center Myles Turner available, and have been engaged in some talks with the Kings, as we relayed right here.
