The Pacers are adding another veteran to their frontcourt.
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Indiana has agreed to a one-year contract with Larry Nance Jr. The deal is worth approximately $4 million.
Nance, 33, appeared in 35 games for the Cavaliers last season after returning to Cleveland, averaging 3.7 points and 2.7 rebounds in a limited reserve role. Injuries have slowed him over the past two seasons, but he remains a respected veteran capable of playing both power forward and center.
Before coming back to the Cavs, Nance also spent time with the Hawks, Trail Blazers and Pelicans after beginning his NBA career with the Lakers.
According to Tony East of Circle City Spin, the agreement is expected to be a minimum-salary contract, with the reported $4 million figure rounded up.
Nance also becomes the latest player to depart Cleveland this offseason.
The Cavs have already lost Dean Wade, Keon Ellis and now Nance in free agency, while re-signing veteran backup center Thomas Bryant.
Cleveland, meanwhile, continues to be linked to LeBron James. Until that situation is resolved, there’s a growing sense around the league that the Cavaliers aren’t finished making moves.
