The Pacers are holding separate conversations on center Myles Turner, small forward T.J. Warren and the No. 13 overall draft pick, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.
This isn’t necessarily new information on Turner and the draft pick, but O’Connor is the first reliable insider to mention that Indiana is exploring Warren deals.
Turner reportedly has been drawing interest from the Hornets, Pelicans and Warriors this offseason, though the reports on the Pelicans came before they acquired Jonas Valanciunas from the Grizzlies.
Along with that, the Pacers are said to be involved in the talks for 76ers guard/forward Ben Simmons, though it is not known how far those talks advanced. They may have an interest in pursuing supposedly available Cavaliers guard Collin Sexton as well.
As an aside, the Cavs have been linked to Pacers free agent small forward Doug McDermott and point guard T.J. McConnell.
Indiana also has spoken to the Rockets and others about the No. 13 overall pick, per reports.
Warren had a strong finish to 2019-20, but had this past season cut short after suffering a toe injury. He has one year and $12.7 left on his contract, making him a even more attractive option for rival clubs.
“Indiana could use a surge of shot making, whether it comes via trade or the draft,” O’Connor wrote.
