Along with exploring what it would take to land Rockets guard Eric Gordon, the Pelicans have expressed interest in Trail Blazers guard CJ McCollum and forward Robert Covington, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.

They may also be revisiting a trade package centered on available Kings small forward Harrison Barnes, Fischer added. That package reportedly included Pelicans guard Josh Hart.

Regardless of who the Pelicans pursue of end up with, it’s pretty clear head of basketball operations David Griffin is looking to shake things up a little and add another veteran to the roster.

Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Pelicans are open to discussing guard Nickeil Alexander-Walker and center/forward Jaxson Hayes in trade discussions.

“According to multiple executives, the Pelicans are more willing to listen on moving Alexander-Walker than in the past,” Scotto said on the HoopsHype podcast.

Meanwhile, Covington has drawn strong interest from multiple teams, with the list reportedly including the Cavaliers and Jazz.

The NBA trade deadline is Feb. 10. Keep it here at Hoops Wire for the latest.
