CJ McCollum and Tony Snell, also acquired as part of the deal, are expected to make their Pelicans debuts on Thursday, Clark noted.

Nance suffered the injury in early January in a game against the Heat. He was initially expected to be evaluated a week later and not miss much time.

“Nance, 29, missed 18 consecutive games before he was traded to the Pelicans,” Clark wrote.

“In 29 games with Portland, he averaged 6.9 points (51.5% FG), 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.0 steals in 23.2 minutes.”
