Pistons small forward Bojan Bogdanovic is again drawing trade interest, according to Marc Stein of The Stein Line.
Bogdanovic, 34, is considered a veteran perimeter shooter who could help a contender. Last summer and into the season, he was linked to the Lakers, Cavaliers and several others, though it’s not believed LA and Cleveland will make a run at him now.
And per Stein, the Pistons are making it seem as if Bogdanovic is not available — or if he is, could only be had at a very high price.
“The Pistons’ stance is routinely dismissed as posturing, but they certainly held firm at the trade deadline in February after months’ worth of trade offers came in for the Croatian swingman,” Stein wrote.
Bogdanovic is coming off his first season with Detroit, appearing in 59 games and averaging career-highs of 21.6 points and 49 percent shooting. That included 41 percent on 3-pointers. He has also spent time with the Jazz, Pacers, Wizards and Nets.
An Achilles injury limited Bogdanovic to just three games following the All-Star break in February, but it does not seem to be an area of concern today, Stein noted.
Bogdanovic is in line to make $20 million this season, with a partial guarantee of $19 million in 2024-25.
The Spurs' current plan is indeed for Victor Wembanyama to make his San Antonio debut Friday night in Las Vegas against Charlotte.
