The Pistons have signed forward Eugene Omoruyi to a standard contract following the expiration of his second 10-day deal, the team announced in a press release.
Omoruyi, 26, is 6-foot-7 and has appeared in 10 games with the Pistons, performing admirably and averaging 8.8 points and 3.6 rebounds.
Before signing his first 10-day deal with Detroit on March 2, he appeared in 23 games with the Thunder, averaging 4.9 points and 2.3 rebounds and shooting 47 percent from the field.
He also played in 13 games with the Oklahoma City Blue of the G League, compiling averages of 17.5 points and 5.7 boards.
A native of Ontario, Canada, Omoruyi appeared in four games with the Mavericks as a rookie in 2021-22. His new contract with the Pistons is guaranteed for what’s left of the season.
