Quin Snyder Likely To Remain With Jazz For At Least Another Season

There is “little expectation” that coach Quin Snyder will leave the Jazz before the expiration of his contract at the end of next season, according to Jake Fischer of Bleacher Report.Quin Snyder

Snyder has been linked to the Lakers vacancy and would certainly also be a candidate for the Hornets job should he become available. But he remains under contract with the Jazz through 2022-23 and there is little reason to believe he is looking to move on.

Jazz CEO Danny Ainge and team owner Ryan Smith also like Snyder as coach and aren’t looking to replace him, sources have told Hoops Wire.

Snyder, 55, has been Jazz coach since 2014, compiling a 372-264 overall record. That included a 52-20 mark in the COVID0-shortened season of 2020-21, the best mark in the league.

But for as good as the Jazz have been under Snyder, they have yet to reach the Western Conference finals during his reign. Some have suggested that could lead to a trade of either Donovan Mitchell or Rudy Gobert, but as we relayed earlier, those seem like baseless rumors for the time being.
