Raptors Signing Daniel Oturu To 10-Day Contract

Oturu, 22, is 6-foot-9 and has been playing for the Windy City Bulls of the G League, averaging 20.6 points and 9.7 rebounds. He spent 30 games with the Clippers as a rookie last season after being selected with the No. 33 overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft.

“The Raptors, who have eight players in the health and safety protocols, have had a busy week on the transaction wire,” wrote Luke Adams of Hoops Rumors. “They signed three players — Juwan MorganD.J. Wilson, and Tremont Waters â€“ to 10-day contracts on Wednesday and have reportedly reached deals with Nik Stauskas and Brandon Goodwin as well.”

Added Aaron Rose of Fan Nation, “Oturu is another undersized center, fitting the mold of Precious Achiuwa and Khem Birch, both 6-foot-9 bigs. He’ll be asked to help replace Toronto’s eight rotation players currently in COVID-19 protocols.”
