The Raptors and Clippers are finalizing a blockbuster trade that will send Kawhi Leonard back to Toronto, according to Shams Charania of ESPN.
In exchange, the Clippers will receive Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, a first-round pick swap and two second-round picks.
Leonard, 35, famously led the Raptors to the franchise’s first NBA championship in 2019 before leaving that summer to sign with the Clippers in free agency.
He now returns to Toronto after seven seasons in Los Angeles, where he continued to battle injuries but remained one of the league’s premier two-way players when healthy.
The move marks the end of an era for the Clippers and a stunning reunion for the Raptors, who have been searching for another championship-caliber centerpiece since Leonard’s departure.
