Report: Magic May Have Blazers’ Anfernee Simons on Radar

The Orlando Magic’s measured approach to the point guard position may be reaching a pivot point.

While the franchise has shown confidence in Jalen Suggs running the offense — and leaned heavily on Paolo Banchero and Franz Wagner for playmaking duties — a first-round playoff exit against the Boston Celtics may have sparked internal discussions about adding backcourt firepower.

One name emerging as a potential target: Anfernee Simons, according to Marc Stein and Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

The Portland Trail Blazers guard, a native of nearby Altamonte Springs, could help address Orlando’s most glaring weakness — perimeter shooting.
