Serbia Cutting Milos Teodosic From National Team

Serbia is releasing veteran guard Milos Teodosic from its national team roster ahead of the 2022 Eurobasket and 2023 FIBA World Cup qualifiers, as relayed by Johnny Askounis of Europhoops.net.Milos Teodosic

Teodosic, 35, has been a fixture for the Serbs as a reliable floor general and former star. He was actually named Eurocup Finals MVP as the main man for Italian club Virtus Bologna last season.

As for the NBA, he spent two seasons with the Clippers (2017-19), averaging 9.5 points and 4.6 assists in his first. But his opportunities were limited in his second season in LA, prompting the Clippers to waive him in February 2019.

He has not been back to the NBA since.

Instead, he landed with Virtus Bologna in July 2019, signing a two-year contract extension with the club last summer.

Teodosic fared well when he last represented Serbia. That was back in the November November international window for World Cup qualifying — when he averaged 17.5 points and 8.5 assists in a pair of games vs. Latvia and Belgium.
