Spurs Waive Paul Watson, Erik Stevenson

The Spurs have waived guards Paul Watson and Erik Stevenson, per the NBA transactions log.Paul Watson

Watson, 28, is 6-foot-6 and went undrafted out of Fresno State in 2017. Since then, he has spent time with the Raptors (on two occasions), Hawks and Thunder, appearing in a total of 46 NBA games. He has also spent time in the G League and playing internationally. He has also spent time in the G League and playing internationally.

Stevenson, 24, is 6-4 and played for four different colleges in five years before going undrafted this past summer. Last year at West Virginia, he appeared in 34 games and averaged 15.4 points and 3.4 rebounds. He then played for the Spurs in the NBA Summer League.

Both players were signed on Oct. 10, likely to Exhibit 10 training camp deals.

An Exhibit 10 contract would make each player eligible for a $75,000 bonus should he remain with the Austin Spurs for at least 60 days.
