Steph Curry Puts On GOAT Show As Warriors Upend Rockets

You can say a lot of things about Stephen Curry, but here’s the most important one: He’s still that dude. And on Saturday night, in front of a stunned Toyota Center crowd, he reminded everyone — loudly — that he’s still the greatest show the NBA has going.Stephen Curry, NBA, Warriors

Curry dropped 31 points on 12-of-19 shooting, including 5-of-9 on 3-pointers, as the Warriors stunned the No. 2 seed Rockets 95-85 in Game 1 in Houston. Golden State was the underdog. Curry was the headliner. And as usual, the moment belonged to him.

Want deep 3s? He gave you logo-range fireworks. Want acrobatics? He flipped one in from out of bounds. Want a reminder that the Warriors aren’t dead yet? You got it. Draymond Green, never one to mince words, summed it up best after the win.

“That deep one from the Toyota Center [logo] and the one out of bounds over here, absolutely insane,” Green told NBC Sports Bay Area. “But that’s why he’s the GOAT.”

And Draymond would know. He’s been front-row for the Steph Show for 13 years.

Curry started this one by attacking the paint — yes, the paint — but once the defense gave him airspace, he did what he always does: lit the place on fire. Two threes late in the second quarter gave the Warriors breathing room. The second half? That was Curry uncaged.

It wasn’t just that he hit shots. It was when he hit them. How he hit them. And the casual confidence that’s become his trademark.

No one else in basketball combines skill, timing, and showmanship like Curry. Not Luka, not Shai, not even LeBron. When Curry’s cooking, the arena buzzes differently. It’s magic with a jump shot.

And right now? He’s still writing chapters. Still winning playoff games. Still ruining game plans.

Curry is 36 years old. He’s a two-time MVP. A four-time champ. And somehow, still underrated.

So go ahead and crown the next generation if you want. But until further notice, the NBA’s greatest showman is still wearing No. 30 in blue and gold. And he’s not done yet.
