The Warriors and Steve Kerr are continuing discussions about his future, and there is still no clear timeline for a resolution, per The Stein Line’s Marc Stein.
So nothing has been decided. Not yet.
Kerr’s contract expired at the end of the season, and he acknowledged afterward that he was unsure what comes next. He has since met with team leadership, but the situation remains open.
That may not change immediately.
Warriors owner Joe Lacob suggested there is no rush, saying a decision could come “today, tomorrow or in three weeks.”
In other words, this is going to take as long as it takes.
Kerr has been the face of the Warriors’ run for more than a decade, guiding the franchise through its most successful era. That kind of relationship is not something either side treats lightly.
At the same time, this is not just about the past.
It is about where things go from here.
The roster is evolving. Expectations remain high. And Kerr, entering what would be his 13th season, appears to be weighing it all.
So, yes, the conversations continue. The rest? Very clearly to be determined. Still.
