The Suns aren’t saying much after Dillon Brooks was charged with DUI in Arizona.
Prosecutors in Scottsdale filed a criminal complaint Monday charging Brooks with misdemeanor driving under the influence, stemming from his arrest in March, according to TMZ Sports.
Phoenix acknowledged the charge Wednesday but declined to go any further.
“This charge stems from the incident last March,” Suns senior vice president of communications Stacey Mitch told TMZ. “We have addressed the matter with Dillon and have no further comment.”
Brooks was arrested in Scottsdale in March after police pulled him over and investigated him on suspicion of driving under the influence. He was booked into Scottsdale City Jail and later released.
The March incident wasn’t Brooks’ only traffic-related encounter with Scottsdale police this year. TMZ previously reported that he was pulled over in January after allegedly driving 85 mph in a 45-mph zone and was cited for reckless driving.
Brooks, 30, joined the Suns in 2025 after previous stops with the Grizzlies and Rockets. The veteran forward has been in the news for considerably lighter reasons this week, including revealing at media day that he learned kung fu during the offseason.
This one is obviously considerably more serious.
