Suns Revisiting Jae Crowder Trade Talks

The Suns have been reexamining potential trades for small forward Jae Crowder and reengage on some old trade talks, per Brian Windhorst of ESPN and RealGM.Jae Crowder

Crowder requested a trade before the season and has not been with the team. The Suns recently lost Cam Johnson to a torn meniscus and are apparently on the lookout for help.

“In the last few days, from what I understand, the Suns have picked up their Jae Crowder conversations,” Windhorst said, via RealGM. “And tried to reengage on some old talks, so I am told.

“Now, does that mean they will find a deal? Obviously they’ve had some impetus to do that. It was bad news when Cam Johnson got hurt, but good news he was able to have a surgery where it was a partial removal as opposed to a repair, which would have meant him being out for the year.”

The Bucks and Heat were among the rival teams that were reportedly interested in Crowder when he first became available. Crowder is not likely to play for the Suns again, even if they can’t find a trade.

“The last time I checked in on it, I was basically told ‘there is no change.’ There’s no effort by the Suns to bring Crowder in,” Windhorst said.
