Suns Signing TyTy Washington To Two-Way Contract

The Phoenix Suns intend to sign point guard TyTy Washington Jr. to a two-way contract, agent Kevin Bradbury told Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.TyTy Washington, Bucks, NBA

This will mark Phoenix’s second signing at the position, as they already agreed to a deal with veteran Tyus Jones, who’s expected to start.

Washington, 22, is 6-foot-3 and spent last season with the Milwaukee Bucks but was not extended a qualifying offer in early July. He appeared in 11 games and averaged 1.3 points, 0.5 rebounds and 0.5 assists.

was originally selected by the Memphis Grizzlies with the No. 29 overall pick in the 2022 NBA Draft out of Kentucky. He was immediately traded to the Houston Rockets.

Washington appeared in 31 games with the Rockets, averaging 4.7 points. But he never got the same kind of run in Milwaukee after signing a two-way contract last August.

Most of his time has been spent in the G League, where he’s averaged 22.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.3 steals, shooting 44.9% from the field and 37.2% on 3-pointers in 32 games.

So it’s clear that he’s a G League All-Star.

His career averages are 22.6 points, 4.8 rebounds, 8.1 assists and 1.3 steals per contest while shooting 44.9% from the field and 37.2% from the three-point range in 32 regular season games (31 starts).

But with the likes of Damian Lillard, Delon Wright, and even A.J. Green ahead of him with the Bucks, Washington became the odd man out.

He has now has been traded four times and waived twice. So let’s just hope he got some gear from every team that he either played for or was traded to., with the Suns becoming the latest.
