Talen Horton-Tucker is officially heading overseas, signing a two-year deal with Fenerbahce, the reigning EuroLeague champions announced.

Horton-Tucker, 23, had been holding out hope for another NBA opportunity, but after failing to land a guaranteed deal he’ll now play abroad for the first time in his career.

Donatas Urbonas of BasketNews first reported the agreement earlier this month, with Marc Stein adding that Horton-Tucker had a 21-day window to secure an NBA contract before committing to Turkey.

The Chicago native was the 46th overall pick in 2019 and has logged six NBA seasons with the Lakers, Jazz and Bulls. He was part of the Lakers’ 2020 championship team as a rookie and owns career averages of 9.2 points, 2.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists in 305 regular-season games.

Last season with Chicago, Horton-Tucker appeared in 58 games and posted 6.5 points in just 12.5 minutes a night, shooting 45.7 percent from the floor. His contract was originally an Exhibit 10 before becoming guaranteed past the January deadline.

At Fenerbahce, he’ll join a roster that already includes former NBA players Wade Baldwin IV, Khem Birch, Nicolo Melli and Brandon Boston Jr.
