TRADE: Knicks Send Kemba Walker, Jalen Duren To Pistons

The Hornets are trading No. 13 overall pick Jalen Duren to the Knicks, who are packaging him with Kemba Walker in a trade to the Pistons, per Adrian Wojnarowski of The Athletic.Kemba Walker

In exchange, the Knicks will receive the 2025 first-round pick the Pistons received from the Trail Blazers as part of the Jerami Grant trade.

Walker, 31, averaged 11.3 points in 37 games and shot 36.7 percent on 3-pointers, before his season ended early when he and the Knicks decided to sit out in search of a trade.

Duren, 18, is 6-foot-11 and spent one season at Memphis, averaging 12.0 points and 8.1 rebounds in 29 games.

He has drawn NBA comparisons to veteran center Andre Drummond.

The official NBA Draft Guide on his strengths: “Outstanding physical profile for a modern big man. Long, powerful and quick off the floor. Elite rim protector and aggressive finisher around the basket. Shows flashes of creativity as a passer.”
