Warriors Announce Signing Of Ex-Lottery Pick Jerome Robinson

The Warriors have signed former lottery pick Jerome Robinson to a training camp contract, the team announced in a press release.

In news broken by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Robinson agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Robinson, 25, is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who once originally selected by the Clippers with the No. 13 selection in the 2018 NBA Draft. It’s been a rocky NBA road since, though, as he’s appeared in just 113 games in three seasons, including the final two with the Wizards.

He’ll be a long shot to make the Warriors’ final roster — as the Warriors are loaded at guard with the likes of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole, Donte DiVincenzo, Moses Moody and Quinndary Weatherspoon.

Still, Robinson spent last season with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, where he averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

Exhibit 10 contracts count toward a team’s offseason roster limit of 20, but not toward the regular roster unless the player receives a standard deal. 

The Warriors have 13 players under guaranteed contract and may enter the season with just 14, given their massive luxury tax issues.
