Warriors Announce Signing Of Ex-Lottery Pick Jerome Robinson

The Warriors have signed former lottery pick Jerome Robinson to a training camp contract, the team announced in a press release.Jerome Robinson

In news broken by ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Robinson agreed to an Exhibit 10 deal.

Robinson, 25, is a 6-foot-4 shooting guard who once originally selected by the Clippers with the No. 13 selection in the 2018 NBA Draft. It’s been a rocky NBA road since, though, as he’s appeared in just 113 games in three seasons, including the final two with the Wizards.

He’ll be a long shot to make the Warriors’ final roster — as the Warriors are loaded at guard with the likes of Steph CurryKlay ThompsonJordan PooleDonte DiVincenzoMoses Moody and Quinndary Weatherspoon.

Still, Robinson spent last season with the Warriors’ G League affiliate in Santa Cruz, where he averaged 20.2 points, 4.2 rebounds and 4.0 assists.

Exhibit 10 contracts count toward a team’s offseason roster limit of 20, but not toward the regular roster unless the player receives a standard deal.

The Warriors have 13 players under guaranteed contract and may enter the season with just 14, given their massive luxury tax issues.
